About
I'm a PhD student in the Department of Philosophy at the Sungkyunkwan University. I started my PhD at SKKU in 2025.
I primarily work in philosophy of mind and cognitive science. I am interested in philosophical problems related to our mind. For example, I'm interested in topics like consciousness, whether AI can be conscious, and the moral status of AI.
My main area is the philosophy of mind, but I have research interests in most areas of contemporary analytic philosophy, including also ethics, philosophies of language, metaphysics, philosophy of AI and epistemology.
Before starting my PhD program, I received my M.A. in Philosophy from SKKU in 2024, principally with Prof. Byeong Deok Lee, who advised my dissertation on Benatar's Pessimism on the Meaning of Life. Before coming to SKKU, I did my undergraduate degree in History and Philosophy at the Gyeongsang National University, principally with Prof. Namjoong Kim, who supervised my undergraduate thesis on Kuhn and Feyerabend's views on normal science in the philosophy of science.
In my free time I enjoy visiting museums.
